By default peepshow.dev setsno cookies. The banner at the bottom of the page asks for consent before either analytics tool loads. Rejecting the banner means nothing is ever set. The only thing stored either way is a singlelocalStorageentry (peepshow-consent) so we don't keep re-asking on every page — that entry is not a cookie, never leaves your browser, and you can clear it at any time.

If you accept

Two analytics tools start recording aggregated visit data:

Self-hosted Matomo

Served fromst.rs.thetomtaylor.co.uk(operated by the site owner). May set the following cookies on*.www.peepshow.dev:

• _pk_id.*— anonymous visitor ID for session linkage (13 months).
• _pk_ses.*— session flag (30 minutes).
• _pk_ref.*— first-touch referrer (6 months).
• _pk_cvar.*,_pk_hsr.*— optional custom variables / heatmap hints (30 minutes). Not currently used but reserved by the Matomo JS library.

No personal data is stored. IP addresses are anonymised (last octet discarded) before they're written to the database. No data is shared with third parties.

Google Analytics 4

Tag IDG-VRND18LG0L. May set the following cookies on the top-levelpeepshow.devdomain:

• _ga— visitor ID used by GA4 across page loads (2 years).
• _ga_VRND18LG0L— GA4 session state (2 years).

The tag is configured withanonymize_ipenabled so Google truncates the IP before processing.

No other cookies

peepshow.dev runs no advertising tech, no retargeting pixels, no session recording, no fingerprinting, no A/B tooling, no chat widgets. If you see a cookie from a domain not listed above, it wasn't us.

Managing your consent

• UseCookie preferencesin the footer to re-open the banner and change your mind.
• Clear cookies + localStorage forpeepshow.devin your browser to fully reset.
• Most browsers offer a "Clear all site data" option in their privacy pane that does both in one click.
