Terms of use
Last updated · 2026-04-23
These terms govern your use of peepshow.dev ("the site"), operated by Tom Taylor (@tom_taylor), and the open-source peepshow software distributed via npm and GitHub. By using either, you agree to the terms below.
The software
peepshow is released under the MIT license — see LICENSE. That text is the authoritative grant of rights. In short:
- You can use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and sell copies.
- You must include the copyright notice and MIT text with copies.
- The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind.
- Neither the author nor contributors are liable for any damages arising from use of the software.
The site
peepshow.dev is a static marketing site for the peepshow tool. The site's content (copy, images, SVG logos) is © Tom Taylor unless otherwise noted. The site markup and CSS are part of the github.com/t0mtaylor/peepshow repository and share its MIT license.
The animated video clips shown on the site are CC-BY 3.0 samples from the Blender Foundation (Big Buck Bunny · Sintel) and NHK (Jellyfish). Their respective licenses apply.
Not affiliated with Peep Show
The name peepshow LLM used by this project refers to a developer command-line tool (peepshow on npm) that extracts still frames from videos so large language models can read them as a timeline. It is a compound of peep + show in the everyday dictionary sense — a quick look through a sequence of images.
This project is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way connected to the British sitcom Peep Show which broadcast on Channel 4 from 2003 to 2015, nor with:
- Channel 4 Television Corporation (the original UK broadcaster and commissioner);
- Objective Productions / Objective Fiction (part of the All3Media group) who produced the series;
- All3Media International (the distribution rights holder);
- the series' creators and writers Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong;
- the cast of the series, including David Mitchell and Robert Webb.
All trademarks, copyrights, and related rights in the Peep Show television series belong to their respective owners. Any resemblance between the project name and the series is coincidental and descriptive only; no association, sponsorship, or approval is implied or claimed. If you are looking for the TV show, you want channel4.com.
Third-party marks
Trademarks referenced on the site (Claude, Cursor, Windsurf, Cline, Codex, Gemini, Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Slack, Discord, Notion, Obsidian, Linear, GitHub, MongoDB, Postgres, SQLite, etc.) belong to their respective owners. Their use here is descriptive — peepshow ships integrations for these platforms; we are not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
Use at your own risk
The site and software are provided without warranty. You are responsible for:
- Verifying the output of
peepshowbefore feeding it to downstream systems. - Any credentials, tokens, or API keys you configure for sink integrations — they are never sent to peepshow.dev or the author.
- Complying with the licenses + terms of the video content you process.
- Complying with the privacy laws applicable to any footage you process.
No account / no service
peepshow.dev does not offer accounts, paid services, SaaS, or data storage. Nothing you do with peepshow is transmitted to the author. Sink integrations talk directly to the services you configure them to talk to.
Changes
These terms may be updated — the date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the new terms. Prior versions stay in the site's git history at github.com/t0mtaylor/peepshow.
